1. Reflect light at night

  1. Reflect light at night | phenomenon

IR IPC picture is normal in daytime, but it appear serious large area blur or partial reflection at night;

1. Check whether the ball cover surface is clear or not;

2. Check whether the ball cover has cracks or scratches;

3. Check whether the shift aperture is properly installed, see the Picture1 ;

4. Check the installation environment, it is installed Corner or very close to the ground ;

2. Video lag

2.1 Video Lag | phenomenon

  1. IPC has the video lag within 3s;
  2. Site network topology: IPC connect with NVR through switch;

2.2 Video Lag | solution

1. Confirm if there is an IPC device side problem and do the following:

  1.  Connect to PC test, Verify the existence of Lag phenomenon through WEB, VLC and SDK Demo;
    1. WEB: check IPC itself has the lag or not;
    2. VLC: check rtsp stream if the IPC and back-end use rtsp to pull stream;
    3. SDK Demo: check the stream on IPC through SDK is normal or not when IPC and back-end connect with dahua private protocol;

2. If procedure 1 confirms that there is lag in IPC, then check the firmware of IPC and suggest to upgrade to the latest firmware, if the lag is still existing, then capture the package(the detail operation: see the PPT named tool use of IPC for reference , please) and collect the   log of IPC which could be sent to R&D for further analysis ;

3. If procedure 1 confirms that it is normal and there is no lag, IPC connect with NVR directly, if the lag is appearance, it is the network issue, if not, then do the procedure 4;

4. through above procedures, we could confirm that the issue is caused by NVR. then check the firmware of NVR and suggest to upgrade to the latest firmware, if the lag is still existing, then capture the package and collect the  log of NVR which could be sent to R&D for further analysis 

3. SD card is not recognized

3.1 SD card is not recognized| phenomenon

IPC cannot recognize the SD card;

3.2 SD card is not recognized| solution

1. Exclude the problem of SD card itself:

  1. A. the site needs to confirm that the SD card is normal and normal to use, which can be confirmed on computers, mobile phones and other devices.
  2. B. format and replace other SD cards of the same model and try again to see if there are still problems
  3. C. confirm the format of SD cards is FAT32, because our IPC only support FAT32;

2. If there is no abnormality in the SD card itself, then check the firmware of IPC and suggest to upgrade to the latest firmware , if the SD card is still not recognized, collect the printing log(logView –r all 1, the detail operation: see the PPT named tool use of IPC for reference , please) of the hot plugging process of the device, which needs to reproduce the problem, and wait for a period of time after inserting the SD before saving the log

4. ONVIF docking issue

4.1 ONVIF docking issue | phenomenon

  1. Site network topology: IPC connect with the third part platform through switch;
  2. Docking protocol: ONVIF;
  3. Issue: failed to add IPC to the third party platform

4.2 ONVIF docking issue | solution

  1. 1. Check whether the firmware of IPC is latest or not , if the client permit and there is no customization, then upgrade to the latest firmware;
  2. 2. Confirm whether ONVIF Service is enabled or not, please the following picture;

  1. 3. Unable the ONVIF Authentication, as the following picture shows:

4. if it adds successfully after procedure 3, then it maybe the incorrect password or ONVIF Authentication issue;

  1. A. incorrect password: use the password set when initializing the device, If you forget the initialized password, you need to go to the web side to restore the factory default settings and reset the password
    1. Reason: Because the web password and ONVIF account password of dahua equipment use two sets of schemes, which are consistent only in the first initialization. Therefore, if you modify the web password later, the ONVIF password will not change accordingly, so the third party platform should also use the password used in the initialization when adding.  
  2. B. ONVIF Authentication issue: Unable the ONVIF Authentication
    1. Reason: After baseline 1.2 of network security, our company uses Digest authentication mode by default. If the third party and dahua equipment do not use the same authentication mode, there is only one way to solve the issue that unable the ONVIF Authentication.

Note:It is risky to turn off onvif authentication function, so it is recommended that the third party also modify the authentication function to Digest, which is more in line with network security requirements.

5. if it is failed to add after procedure 3, use ODM(ONVIF device management) to check;

6. If procedure 5 confirms that it is normal, so the IPC side is OK. It can be basically confirmed that it is a third party platform problem. However, the third party platform can’t be pushed to solve the issue, in order to help our clients, then capture the package from the third party platform side(use wireshark), and capture the whole operation process about adding IPC to the third party platform, then send it to R&D for analysis.

 

5. FAQ

  1. 1. Q: How to determine if the image color abnormality of  IPC is caused by ICR?
  2.   A: You can put your ear to the device, and then switch to day and night mode to listen to see if there is any sound of ICR switching;At the same time, the scene of the problem lens can also look at the green object, general ICR stuck, green objects will tend to pink.

 

  1. 2. Q: The screen has a rolling brown stripe, how to solve it?
  2.   A:This is the flicker phenomenon which can be solved by limiting the shutter to 10 multiples, such as 0-10ms, 0-20ms

 

  1. 3. Q: Why is the equipment time restored to 2000?
  2.   A: The battery capacity of the device is exhausted without charging.In terms of factory equipment, lithium battery manufacturers generally supply about 60%~80% of the power, the production line test time is not enough to fully charge, so a long time storage and transportation will also consume power.Therefore, it is suggested that the customer should first check the time when this situation occurs.

  2.   A: It is suggested to click Restore all and refresh to restore the initial position of the lens motor.These two buttons should not be used frequently under normal conditions, so as not to affect the motor life.

 

  1. 5. Q: Can the equipment be connected to third party POE?
  2.   A: It is enough to meet the 802.3at and 802.3af standards. You can check the official website parameters for specific models.
