【2】Description of the problem

Actually, there are a lot of requirements for our POS function, but most customers think it’s difficult to realize this function or even don’t know Dahua can do this easily. So if we want to promote POS solution, we have to show how it works to our DT/SI/Installer/end-users. But for most time, we don’t have POS machine on hand, it’s a good way to use NetAssist . By using NetAssist, your PC is considered as one POS device, and it can send data to XVR.

Test and finish this article, so our customer can following this manual to configure POS function and show to end-users.

【4】Solution

4-1 Precondition

  • (1) Make sure your laptop can communicate with XVR(set them on the same segment).
  • (2) Remember the IP address of XVR and your laptop and also the XVR POS port. Here my laptop IP is 192.168.178.34; XVR IP is 192.168.178.171; POS Port is 38800.

      • UDP Connection
      • Set the XVR POS function.
    • double click and open NetAssist and configure it as the following guide.
    • Continue to set the NetAssist.
    • Then you will see the information on the selected channel.

    • double click and open NetAssist and configure it as the following guide.
    • then it will work.

    • Q: Can i use this way to connect every POS.
  • A: No, this standard way can only support standard TCP/UDP protocol, if the POS machine can not support, we can’t . we have to involve R&D to do the integrate in this situation.

  • A: Yes, here we embedded the standard convert type, you can choose different convert to support different language word.
