How to set the IVS function?

Prerequisites

  • Dahua XVR (GUI4.0) running the latest firmware.
  • A display connected to the Dahua recorder.

Step by Step Instruction

  • The intelligent function can be realized in recorder or realized in intelligent IPC.

1. Smart IPC/Analog Camera

The smart plan is for the smart network camera, if the intelligent algorithm is act in smart IPC, we need set a rule here, and the intelligent functions in IVS, face detection and people counting are available.

(1) Go to MAIN MENU->IVS-> SMART PLAN, select a channel.

(2) Select and set a smart plan here.

(3) Click “OK” to complete the setup.

Note: If we don’t need the intelligent algorithm of the IPC, just ignore the “Smart Plan”.


2. Set the IVS Rule

(1) Main Menu > IVS > INTELL SETTING.

(2) In the Channel list, select the channel number that you want to configure the IVS function.

(3) Click Add.

(4) Configure the parameters for the rule that you selected

(5) Select the check box of the rule to enable it.

(6) Click Apply to complete the settings.


2.1 Tripwire

(1) Select channel.

(2) Click “Add” to create a rule.

(3) In the type dropdown list select “Tripwire”, and click the pencil button beside.

(4) Draw a tripwire. Click .

(5) Click to set the actions to be triggered.

(6) Click OK to save the settings.


2.2 Intrusion

(1) On the rule line that you added, in the Type list, select Intrusion.

(2) Draw an area.

(3) Click Oto save the settings.

2.3 Abandoned

(1) On the rule line that you added, in the Type list, select Abandoned.

(2) Draw an area.

(3) Click OK to save the settings.

2.4 Missing

(1) On the rule line that you added, in the Type list, select Missing.

(2) Draw an area.

(3) Click OK to save the settings.


3. Enable the IVS Function

  • Enable the IVS function. It’s very important.

4. Set the Trigger Action

(1) Click the “Trigger” button to enter the trigger event menu.

(2) Select the record channel.

(3) So does the snapshot, sending E-mail, PTZ control, tour, etc.
