How to setup video detection?

Prerequisites

  • Dahua NVR running the latest firmware.
  • A display connected to the Dahua recorder.

Step by Step Instruction

Motion Detect

For motion detect when moving object appears in the image it triggers an alarm.

1) Go to Main menu->SETTING->EVENT->VIDEO DETECT->Motion Detect page, select a channel and check “Enable”.

2) Set region that will apply motion detect, it works on the whole image by default.

3) Tick in the box to enable sound indication when motion detect is triggered.

4) Click “Apply” and “Save” to activate the function.

Video Loss

Video loss allows users to be informed when video loss phenomenon occurred.

1) Go to Main menu->SETTING->EVENT->VIDEO DETECT->Video Loss page, select a channel and check “Enable”.

2) Tick in the box to enable sound indication when video loss is triggered.

3) Click “Apply” and “Save” to activate the function.

Tampering

Tampering prevents the situations that when someone viciously masks the lens, or the output video is in one-color due to the environments light change.

1) Go to Main menu->SETTING->EVENT->VIDEO DETECT->Tampering page, select a channel and check “Enable”.

2) Select a sensitivity, ranges from 1~6, 6 to be the most sensitive. 3 by default.

3) Tick in the box to enable sound indication when tampering is triggered.

4) Click “Apply” and “Save” to activate the function.

Scene Change

For scene change, when the detected scene has changed, system can generate an alarm.

1) Go to Main menu->SETTING->EVENT->VIDEO DETECT->Scene Change page, select a channel and check “Enable”.

2) Select a sensitivity, ranges from 1~6, 6 to be the most sensitive. 3 by default.

3) Tick in the box to enable sound indication when tampering is triggered.

4) Click “Apply” and “Save” to activate the function.

Diagnosis

Diagnosis function triggers an alarm when stripe, noise, color cast, out of focus or over exposure occurred in the camera.

1) Choose the diagnosis channel, check the “Enable” box.

2) Set rules for diagnosis, including stripe, noise, color cast and so on. The values range from 1 to 30. System can generate an alarm once the parameters are higher than the threshold.

3) Tick in the box to enable sound indication when tampering is triggered.

4) Click “Apply” and “Save” to activate the function.
